The Macomber Center, in Framingham, Massachusetts, was started in 2012 to provide families with an alternative to traditional education. At Macomber Center children become part of a community of peers with access to knowledgeable, helpful adults. We provide members with the resources they need to direct their own learning. When children are free to pursue their own interests they not only become happier and more engaged, they also become increasingly self-reliant, resourceful and confident in their ability to learn.
Macomber Center is a fully staffed drop-off center in operation from mid-September to mid-June. Check our Calendar for further details. Our doors are open from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, for members from 5 to 18 years old. With no attendance requirements, members are welcome to come and go as they please on their chosen days of attendance. We offer 5 day, 3 day and 2 day per week membership options and members must be registered as homeschoolers in their town (see the Membership page for more information). Please explore our website to find out more about us, and contact us with any questions you might have about our Center.
